Important Health Warning…

Would you buy and drink a bottle of water if the label
said: Spring Water - contains 2% toxic chemicals?
Of course you wouldn’t, you’d look for a bottle that
contained Pure Spring Water.

Would you use a shampoo and conditioner if you knew
they contained cancer-causing chemicals? I think not. But
the fact is, what you don’t know can harm you.
Surprisingly enough, many personal care products from
major brand manufacturers such as: Shampoos,
Conditioners, Toothpaste, Deodorants, Shaving Creams,
Moisturizers, Cosmetics, etc. can be loaded with potential
Cancer Causing, and harmful ingredients. Here are a few
more facts you should know…

: OSHA has identified 884 toxic chemicals commonly used
in personal care products.
:: “Mainstream cosmetics and personal care products
contain about 50 known carcinogenic ingredients.
Many of the harmful ingredients used in personal
care products are also used in tobacco products.”
- Dr. Samuel Epstein, M.D. (Chairman, Cancer
Prevention Coalition)

For instance, here’s just one of the many toxic
ingredients: Diethanolamine or DEA is a common
ingredient in shampoos and bath products. DEA and any
combinations of DEA, including the widely used Cocamide
DEA have been found to pose a serious health risk to
consumers. The dangers of DEA were reported on CBS
This Morning, in which Dr. Epstein, M.D. of the
University of Illinois and one of the world's foremost
toxicologists, testified about the results of his study in
which he found that DEA is “a potential carcinogen” and
that even in small doses, repeated use of DEA increases
the risk of cancer. Further comments by Dr. Epstein
criticized regulatory agencies and the cosmetic industry in
the US for not taking any action to phase out its use
although European governments had done so already.

The skin is highly permeable – think about the nicotine
patch. Nicotine is delivered into the blood stream right
through the skin. The same thing happens to personal
care products you put on your skin every day. They are
absorbed through the skin and into the bloodstream. If the
personal care products you use contain harmful
ingredients, these ingredients can build up in your liver,
kidneys and other vital organs and tissues and have the
same long-term effect as cigarette smoking. Many
experts believe that this is a major reason cancer rates
have skyrocketed. One in three people in the US today
will get cancer.

Most people believe that the government would never
allow harmful ingredients to be used in personal care
products, and are shocked to find out that the FDA has
been aware of this problem for years, but has done
nothing about it. The fact is, these products are the least
regulated products under the Federal Food, Drug and
Cosmetic Act. There is no pre-market safety testing,
review, or approval of these products required.
Manufacturers can use anything they want. The
government is not protecting us.

Luckily, there is a solution
